MIAMI – May 20, 2025 – Digital Assertive Copyright (Dacr) has officially launched worldwide and plans to be the new global standard for copyright protection, helping creators and organizations in every category protect their original work and IP, including music, art, writing, photography, video, and even code.

The new digital platform and foundation is built from the ground up to make it incredibly easy to provide copyright protection and eliminate piracy. By just dragging and dropping a file or taking a photo, you receive copyright protection in seconds once uploaded to Dacr.

Dacr’s new foundation is built using its proprietary infrastructure called the Dacr Network, along with the Blockchain, to permanently store and register original works and IP. This Dacr registration can then be used as proof of ownership and authorship by the rightsholder. Each Dacr registration provides the copyright owner a registration certificate, a permanent registration timestamp, and a public record to provide outside verification of ownership and licenses.

In a world where more than 1.1 billion new original works are created each year, less than 0.05% of this work is registered with government agencies, leaving many creators and IP holders struggling to combat infringement and unable to provide the needed proof of ownership as evidence for defense.

The average time and cost to register work with the U.S. Copyright Office is two to nine months starting at $65 and up, depending on the details of the registration for a single piece of original work. Dacr provides copyright protection at an average cost of $2 per year for each copyright. While not intended as an alternative to U.S. or international copyright registration, experts in the field believe that a Dacr registration provides strong evidential support for proof of ownership.

Dacr’s technology was created from the ground up to solve the needs of the copyright and IP market with a plan to eventually eliminate piracy. The technology not only stores the original work and IP in permanent form, it also uses Dacr AI to create a unique fingerprint for identification and validation purposes that’s applied to several forms for deterring or eliminating infringement.

While content platforms do not have a single source of truth to determine content rights and ownership, Dacr’s new foundation with Dacr AI provides AI systems access to train their models with a deep understanding of the work and IP, giving these AI systems a position to use their own creativity and produce new original works, without hurting existing creations. Content platforms are able to use Dacr to gain similar access for verifying ownership and usage rights of any work uploaded by their users.

With piracy and infringement running rampant, Dacr plans to introduce Global Piracy Detection technology over the next six months that will use Dacr AI to travel across the internet and return URLs and IP addresses of the locations where work may be pirated, including the pirate’s information, ultimately giving the IP holder the opportunity to act on the theft. This will also apply to live real-time events that in many cases, such as Pay-Per-View (PPV) events, result in tens of millions of dollars lost for a single event.

As a foundation for the future of copyright, Dacr has built numerous tools for controlling access to original works and IP that takes advantage of the Blockchain by using Dacr token technology to allow IP holders to sell and license their work with an easy no-paperwork approach. IP holders can collect royalties, fixed and reoccurring license fees and manage licenses at scale without the need to have any Blockchain experience whatsoever. Dacr plans to release selling and licensing tools in the next two months.
